The STRAC web site is currently under construction because we have chosen to focus our unique electronics skills training and certification program entirely on the 60,000 men and women supported nationally by Job Corps (JC).

STRAC Institute Revolutionizes Electronics Training for Job Corps Nationwide

Veterans Assembled electronics, LLC d/b/a STRAC Institute is a Rhode Island Limited Liability Company with a mission to meet the electronics industry workforce demand by leveraging the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps infrastructure.

Demand for technicians is being driven by the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022. The Act was initiated to protect U.S. national security, enhance economic competitiveness, and accelerate American innovation. Constraining adversarial technical growth while shortening our own supply chain gives the U.S. and its allies a competitive advantage in producing essential electronics-based solutions.

Breaking Barriers: STRAC Institute Pioneers Advanced Electronics Education

Industry growth from private/public investments is forecasted to reach $1T before the end of this decade, surpassing that of the industrial age. These investments will have a significant impact on the accelerating demand for electronics technicians…technicians with problem-solving skills and demonstrated competency in the manufacturing and maintenance of electronic systems.

STRAC Institute: Leading the Charge in Meeting Electronics Workforce Demand

With an infrastructure of 131 locations across the U.S., JC annually serves approximately 60,000 men and women between the ages of 16 and 24, providing them with multiple vocational skills training programs and employment services. These young men and women come from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities where they have faced inequitable access to education yet have developed a variety of problem-solving skills. STRAC currently teaches an advanced Electronics Engineering Technician (EET) course at Job Corps in Exeter, RI under a subcontract with Adams and Associates (AA) who operate Exeter and 14 other JC sites. It is currently the only advanced electronics training program in all of JC. Our objective is to provide our program to multiple other JC sites beginning with those operated by AA.
