VA Counselors

Guided Support Throughout Your Entire Journey

The Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment counselor (VRC) is a professional Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) counselor who provides or coordinates for Veterans or Servicemembers a wide range of services that might include counseling, training, readiness, and employment services.

Under the Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E), the VRC helps those with service-connected disabilities and an employment handicap prepare for, obtain, and maintain suitable careers.

Your assigned VRC will help you through a process that includes testing, interviewing, and preparing a readiness plan to determine your interests and if the STRAC program is a good fit.

Like your Career Advocate, the VRC will be there with you every step of the way from your first contact with STRAC through graduation and beyond. Your VRC will be an important part of your present and your future.
